Technion Computer Science Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters provide access to state of the art supercomputer hardware to eligible faculty and students across all of Computer Science Faculty.
What We Do
The CS High Performance Computing team, within IT’s Research Technology division, provides seamless and efficient access to advanced computing resources, outstanding services, and expertise that:
- Enable CS scholars to work on the most challenging computational research projects that involve HPC, Big Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence
- Enable and participate in research collaborations
- Facilitate usage of computing resources, minimize barriers of entry, promote the use of best practices, and develop the computing skills of users by providing training and consultations
- Facilitate the use of CS resources in courses
Getting Access to the Clusters
To open or renew an HPC user account on clusters use GPU Cluster system.. About CS GPU Cluster you can read here.
External (non-Technion CS) collaborators may require sponsorship for a CS netid before applying for an HPC user account.
- If you are a graduate student fellow:
- Select Newton cluster for GPU requests or Darwin cluster for CPU requests.
- Select faculty that you are from (that chosen in login page).
- Mandatory , in request page put relevant End Date (after that date access will be closed and home directory will be deleted)
- If you are an undergraduate student in one of CS faculty projects.
- Select the Lambda cluster
- If you are a GIP lab student:
- Select Gipdeep cluster
- Select faculty that you are from (that chosen in login page).
- If you are in the group of Gil Shamai, Elad Michael, or Ron Kimmel, please select the relevant person as your supervisor. Otherwise, please select Yaron Honen as your supervisor.
- If none of the above: if you believe you are qualified to access the CS Faculty cluster, and you don’t found your name in registration system , email admlab@cs.technion.ac.il with all relevant details (Name, Faculty, Mentor name, project time window)
